Only read the last paragraph... This is what it said, which leads me to think the rest of the story is just as terrible.

"He's tossed out his offensive coordinator. He's allowed his starting quarterback to transfer to another school."

He also made a point of listing all the players on his team out with injuries, a direct attack on the Gator injuries Muschamp had begun leaning on as an excuse. After Franklin finished his briefing, Florida's athletic director, Jeremy Foley, stepped over to the podium to shake his hand. "Never seen him do that before," a Gators beat writer said after the conference ended. Foley did not attend Muschamp's conference, which was more muted than even the pregame tailgates out in the parking lots.

Wow, I didnt know all that. If thats true then that tells me that Foley really wanted to fire Muschamp this year but Machen and some big time boosters must have overrided his decision.

That is 100% false. Foley did not want to fire WM, nobody did in the administration.

So Foley did not shake Franklins hand after the press conference and then left the room before Muschamps press conference and this reporter is just talking out of his arse. Just to clarify.

Also, the gator beat writer who said Foley never goes to opposing HCs press conference was wrong. Foley does that a lot but the gator reporter is new and never saw it before.

Also, lol at the idea of boosters forcing Muschamp to say.

The entire piece was clearly intended originally to be a fluff piece in a magazine about Florida winning the right way after the Urban stuff and us going 11-2. Then we went 4-8 and there really wasn't as much to write about.

I would say that writer is a hack.

Foley didn't want to fire WM.

That tells me all I need to know.

Deadspin tells me all I need to know. Sports talk radio, cable news and fishwraps, tweets and everything else stinks to high heaven because of the negative society we have become.

I can't listen to radio talk shows anymore because of the constant soap opera being spewed. Facts ? Don't let that get in the way of a good story. They don't need facts...just a glimpse of what "could" be the truth or close to it.

A prime example was on the radio this afternoon from a syndicated radio show host talking about the lawsuit against Winston. He said "who had something to gain by revealing the incident to the media almost a year after alledged rape? Was it someone at Florida? Maybe someone in Gainesville wanted to reveal story? Or Miami? Or maybe Alabama? Then he stated that the accuser waited til Winston was well known...etc etc..so she could cash in $$.

This is coming from California based "Westwood One Studio" but host is knee deep in Florida sports....and dislikes UF.

Maybe just maybe Foley and administration are smart and intelligent enough to know Muschamp has the ability to win big at UF and the fact that we had gone 11-1 the year before gave them pause to consider WMs future.??? Hmmmm?

Maybe some of you are noticing that preseason predictors are already coming out and predicting UF to rebound?
