I sold Frank's daddy a truck for Frank back in Columbus, Ga., in 1981 or 82. Good folks. I believe that Frank could have had a great career in the NFL as a tight end, but, wisely he stuck to baseball.

Funny thing about Dye and Big Hurt....the story goes that big Frank went into Dye's office to tell him he was quitting football to concentrate full time on baseball, and Dye told him that his future was in Football, that he wouldn't make it in baseball. Perhaps an apocryphal story, but I've heard that from many people.
