Anyone have any experience with this system. Can it be used with someone that has had a hyrnitated disc. How are the results. TIA.

I'd consult with your doc first if you're looking at an intense workout program with a herniated disk. One of the girls I work with was interested in doing it with her husband and her doc told her it was a no go with her back issues.

Do not recommend.

I'd suggest checking out the new one they just came out with called P90X3. They broke all of the workouts into 30 minutes. I am almost a month in and I love it.
P90X requires some serious dedication because some workouts can take an hour to an hour and a half some times. I just don't have time for it anymore. I did a few years ago and you will definitely get great results from it.
Either one you choose I would strongly suggest using the nutrition plan that comes with it.

Thanks for the info. I knew it was a bit intense. I may have to see about lower impact workouts due to my past disc issues. If anyone has any recommendations I would appreciate it.

Might try T25 and 90x 3 by beach body as well. I'll swear by p90x and insanity.
t25 is a good 25 minute work out without the murder on your body and I imaging the 30 min p90x will be similar.

Not nearly as intense as insanity, but some of those cardio workouts will still nearly kill you. I prefer the balance of it so far to insanity though.
I am probably gonna go back to the original P90X after I finish X3, but insert some of the X3 workouts for the P90X workouts. Ain't nobody got time to do an hour plus of yoga.

If you have access to an indoor pool, swimming is one of the best exercises you can do for injuries like that.

Dear God no. I ran track in HS and ran the quarter. I hated the work outs for it and would have traded that feeling after a 10x400 workout at the peak of my physique for what I felt after the first insanity workout.

Yes. Very low impact without hurting previous injuries.

Yeah I think I sat in the shower unable to move for about 30 minutes after my first insanity workout

I cried in the shower for 30 minutes because a gay black man raped me.
Serious though, great work out but it burned me out bad. I lost 75 lbs in a year and insanity got me through the hard part.
Afterwards, I stopped working out for a good year and just now joined a gym again.
