Extremely Early 2014 SEC East Predictions

One fan's early prediction for the SEC East next year:
1. South Carolina-I believe most prognosticators will pick them somewhere top 3 in east
2. Georgia-same as South Carolina, should be favored everywhere to be top 3 in east
3. Mizzou-Hard team to figure, have their QB but have lots of holes to fill. Home games against KY, Vandy, ARK and no games against Aub, Ala, and LSU probably keep them 5th or higher.
4. Tennessee-Great recruiting classes could propel this team to first, have to prove it though. Must hold serve at home to move up.
5. Florida-probably the team in my poll most likely to make this prediction look foolish. Hard to say if they can just bounce right back to the top. Better or their coach may be gone.
6. Vanderbilt-Probably will finish higher but not sure who to put them above going into the season.
7. Kentucky-Stuck here until they can prove otherwise. Have had some good recruiting classes. Is this the year they get back to a bowl?

Sam and Ealy and your corners going to NFL or coming back? That's the big question. And that running back of yours, I forget his name.
Carolina has Davis coming back, but I'm not sure what other good pieces are returning, I started a thread on their board for answers earlier, no replies.
Don't get me started on UGA. The west schedule is Auburn and Arkansas, which is considered easy because of Arkansas... we play Auburn every year as a matter of course.

Ealy gone, RB is Josey and haven't heard about him yet. No doubt underclassmen better step it up or Mizzou slides hard.

there's new qb's at usc, uga and who knows who florida will use so predictions are almost worthless. i would have to predict y'all will repeat because i've seen your qb and he seems damn good. but i just don't know who's graduating or leaving for the draft.

Schedule does really help Mizzou though. Only SEC game that is probably slam dunk loss is SC on road. Get GA, Vandy, Ky, and Ark at home, Fla, TN, SC, TAMU on road. Schedule is kind and probably will allow at least an 8-4 finish.

Sam graduating, Ealy Leaving early, Gaines graduating, Josey may or may not leave early. Matt White the terrible safety who got juked hard last night graduating.
We have kids that can step in though, there was a fresh CB that had to play a lot for Gaines this season that did very well. Pinkel is very loyal to his seniors rightfully so. Don't really know what we have coming up until it gets here.
We also need to step recruiting up. It's getting bad at this point. One of our best seasons in history and we currently sit with 2 4 stars.

To LSU fan: no doubt these predictions will change significantly by August. Just where I see it right now.

Not good for yall.
Not good at all.
Sounds like every single playmaker besides Matty is gone.
You do have an easier schedule though.

That's the shite though, before this year none of those guys were playmakers either.
WR corps will still be good, have DGB still and hopefully he continues to grow. If we are able to keep Nate he'll step in immediately I'd imagine.
Hansbrough/Murphy are still very good backs. As the announcers were talking last night, couldn't tell the 3 apart. That's usually a deep position for us as well.

Florida wins the East. I hope/wish

IMO that's not beyond the realm of possibilities at all. However you have a tough draw from the West
The East is ups for grabs. I'm not well versed on what everyone is losing though. Not much for us. Mauk seemed every bit as good as Franklin to me and Mizzou has a favorable schedule. SCAR seems to be losing a lot.

UGA and Florida will determine the East.
Mizzou
Tennessee
SC
Vandy (because I expect JF to leave)
UK

Not true. Mauk is back but we might have an even better one in Printz. Josey, Murphy and Hansbrough all back at RB. DGB, White, Hunt, Leftwich, Sasser all return at WR though we lose Washington and Lucas.
We will lose Sam and Ealy at DE but Golden returns and I think he led the conference in TFL, though we'll be thinner at DE. Ray also returns (they DE who returned the fumble for the TD). So we'll need some backups to step up to relieve them. Gaines is gone but Penton played solid at CB as a true freshman.

We will likely finish 2nd. Draw ATM and @AUB from the West, got @Vandy and @UF. Mizzou and UGA at home.
We will have talent but our D won't be up to the usual standards. Signing day will have a significant impact on our chances next year.

welcome aboard
I'm not sure if they'll win the east, but I do see a better team. We were decimated last year, for sure.
