The SEC has come down to the level of A&M and Mizzou, not the opposite.

Congrats noobs, you got to take advantage of a 'down' SEC.

Tennessee, Florida, Georgia -- all in a huge downturn.

LSU - obvious decline.

Alabama - one year decline.

Everyone else -- about the same.

I shall reevaluate this assessment should Missouri and Auburn win their bowls. If not - I stand on the above premise.

As to whether Vandy wins their bowl - who gives a rip?

We took advantage of it because of the downturn. The only exception (in the East) is probably your Game#ocks. Other than that, we took advantage of a weak Tennessee and Florida to get to the SECCG.

This year Mizzou did the same.

South Carolina? Still waiting.

No jackass Alabama didn't have to play the 2 best teams in the east, or they would have been exposed earlier.

Blogosphere bunk. A 1 score loss to AU and a bad bowl game...it happens.

What is so obvious? was it when we got the #1 recruit yesterday?

Using recruits to prove you're not in decline is one sign. If you weren't in decline you'd be pointing to your season, not your hope in future players.

But, to be honest, I just said 'obvious decline' to join in with what appears to be a running joke on here about 'the decline' of LSU.

I never said the decline will last. It won't. And Mizzou will be hurt by the lack of decline the most as the SECE is horrible right now.

There is actually a very pertinent upside. Combating the HUNH, spread offense, a legitimate dual threat QB, will be a good proving ground for whoever gets invited the new playoff, imo.

Go back to struggling with Wisconsin, losing to Tennessee, or being Petrino's bitch.

Is 10 wins still impressive when you play at least 13 games?

Well, like you said, "I shall reevaluate this assessment should Missouri...". The OSU game may be more of a 'where are we at' game than first thought, no?

Uptempo offense is destroying the SEC.

It will be the downfall of the conference.

Chavis has the blueprint for this. The question for UA (and others) is, will they adapt?

Definitely. The Auburn/FSU game as well.

We win those, and my original premise is faulty. Lose both and it's dead on.

Go 1-1, especially if the loss is in the BCSCG, and it's a debate.

Do we have an elite SEC team this season? Maybe one if and only if they just decimate an undefeated FSU team.

Michigan State would blast everybody else outside of Auburn this year and Stanford is 3 times as rugged as LSU.

If we had Vandy's coaching and facilities We might have been something but, God is a cruel god sometimes and gives us a large handicap in what we have.
