b/c in college athletics, especially football, it pays to embrace the 'bluebloods'.

It's all about bringing in the casual fan... dynasty teams (and the top 5/10 matchups that come along with it) like bama do that.

Look at this year's SECCG... a top 5 matchup between AU/Mizzou... still didn't have the ratings of the previous top 5 SECCG matchups like Bama/UGA and Bama/UF from 08 and 09.

It is because ESPN is in bed with the SEC. Other conferences like the Big Ten and Pac 12 have their own network, but ESPN directly profits from SEC success. Thus they push the SEC agenda at every turn, from recruits to pro prospects etc. At the UA All American game they tried to stage an all SEC game with an all SEC commitment show but Rudolph and Tabor ruined it for them.
