Kick-six practice
Georgia decided on an interesting drill during special teams practice on Friday. It practiced a field goal play on which the kick was short and returned -- a la Auburn vs. Alabama.
It went much like the play that inspired it.
“We didn’t touch him,” Richt said, not identifying the return man. “Not with two hands.”
Richt was asked how often his teams have practiced the play.
“Since I’ve been at Georgia? Once,” Richt said, smiling.

It all goes back to CMR and Co
Yep and lack of instilled disciple/intensity. His attitude about the kick 6 practice is a good example of his laid back attitude. Dallas linked the interview session. When asked about possibly putting more skill players on the FG special teams he said: "then we might miss the kick" and sort of shrugged. While I understand that scenario is definitely a trade-off between blocking for the FG attempt vs kick coverage, he seemed much too cavalier about a possible solution to suit me. I love the guy as a human being and the face of UGA football but I question whether we will ever win a national championship due to lack of discipline, lax recruiting/roster management and overall lack of intensity relative to the finer points of the game.
