I was meh on the Malzahn hire. I thought he had a chance to be a really good head coach, but I thought it was a big risk considering where we were. I wanted the AD to think bigger and do better. It appears I was wrong.

Only time will tell. How did it work out for that other coach that won 1 and then was done?
