Wow. To me Swing March and Will Tell are the 2 most important songs after the fight song and alma mater. Pretty unique to our school. I agree the band needs to bump up the tempo like the band used to play. I don't care for the arrangement of the Star Spangled Banner tbh. I think Dr. Knighten arranged it IIRC

Do you prefer the traditional Damrosch/Sousa arrangement? Not knocking you if you do, it's 'the classic'. I just enjoy the more modern harmonization of the version they are using now.
ETA: One thing that does bother me is that hardly anybody sings along with the Star Spangled Banner anymore. I do, by gosh. And proudly.
