Not sure I really believe Bama had the #2 SOS in the country. However, if Barn wants to face Bama again instead of FSU thats up to them.

College football is the only sport where a result in week 1 can ruin the rest of the season.

I'm all for a 4 or 8 team playoff, if you are a fan of one of the perennial best teams in the country (as I am) then you want your team to have a shot. I don't care if we go 12-0 in the regular season and get jobbed, I want to know that if our QB pulls a hammy in week 1 and we drop our first game, then destroy everyone we still can get our shot.

Only allowing conference champions allows is just allowing for non-legit national champions. 4 team playoff conference champs only,

Hypothetically

Duke wins ACC
Mizzou wins SEC
Texas wins Big 12
Stanford wins Pac 12
Mich St. wins Big 10.

4 team playoff
Mizzou vs. Stanford
Mich St. vs. Duke

Wouldn't that have been a real treat to watch!

Leaving out 1 loss Alabama and OSU, and penalizing Auburn for playing a conference championship.

Take the 4 best teams, regardless of who wins their conference. Strength of Schedule should always be one of the most important deciding factors.

Why penalize a team for playing 4 top 10 teams, not all conference schedules are equal.

LSU fans bitch about Alabama playing Kentucky and UT from the east, yet they then complain that a non-SEC champion shouldn't get into the title game.

Which is it?
