I'm sorry not everyone speaks like an "educated" "civilized" business man. Kids job is to play football at the moment which he does fine. I'm sure his emotions were also high. Seriously, any one who gives a shite how he talks has issues.

Has issues? Frankly as someone who works in education it bothers me greatly that he's made it that far while speaking so poorly. I think anyone who passes it off as "Derp he's a football player WHO CARES" does the greater disservice. I have middle schoolers who have given better speeches and I work at an at-risk school in an urban area.

I don't blame the kid but maybe his educators should've done a better job. And he better work on it if he plans on being a highly recognizable NFL player.

There is a way to represent yourself, and a way NOT to. JW just did the latter no matter the type of individual with whom you equate coherent speech.

No one is debating this.

Irrelevant. He had plenty of time to prepare for an award he was virtually assured of winning.

I'm embarrassed for him. It's a damn shame no one took it upon themselves to to see to it that he could at least represent himself better than that in one of his proudest moments.

It's sad.
