I think a lot of LSU fans genuinely wanted him to leave, if for nothing else so that we could feel what they've felt...
I just don't think too many of them are crushed (melting) that he didn't. Maybe a bit let down. It seemed such a sure thing for a half a day or so there.

Not having to face the goat every year would have been a sweet byproduct of the transaction.
But in the end, we're in the same position we have been in the last 6 years. It's like if the person in line right in front of you won the $50k one millionth customer prize. "Well shite, that would have been cool."
