I think that since LSU fans are always trying to compare themselves to Alabama, they're having a hard time accepting that a coach could leave LSU but that same coach wouldn't leave Alabama for Texas (or USC or Tampa Bay).

I see it like this. Saban took LSU's virginity, but they could never get him to put a ring on that finger. He leaves, and then marries us. You know they are going to be bitter.
