Why not just say no to the interviews and if they feel like it needs to be pursued further do so through the court system? It is also being scheduled the day before the Heisman ceremony. That doesn't scream attention whoring to you?

As far as wanting to embarrass the TPD, people have lost their jobs over this already so I'm not sure what else they want to push at this point.
