Supposedly they only gave out 1500 BCS tickets this year after initially claiming 2000
That gives us 5.8% for Auburn. Also, 1500 is the lowest for any school to give to their students despite the Rose Bowl having the highest ticket allocation for schools.

I've just moved on to the acceptance stage of my grief. I remembered that we're still in the National Championship, I only have one final left, and Christmas is 12 days away. Made a little of the pain go away.

I think the 1500 is after the band and Tiger hosts and other designated personnel were accounted for. The band and Tiger hosts et. al. are students too.
