All coaches try to find the "gray" area..offense, defense, recruiting, etc. Just the way it is.

All teams run pick rotes for example. sometimes they get flagged but most do not...part of the game.

I don't know if Auburn had a wr downfield blocking against Bama because if they did nothing changes. But sometimes they will get flagged in the future sometimes they will not if that is the gray area they have decided to exploit.

I truthfully don't see Malzhan's offense being a long term problem for defenses...but obviously I could be wrong.

I always viewed it as an advanced Wing T, ie high school offense. Was surprised to hear during the SEC CG that Malzahn started developing it after reading the book Delaware Wing T.

Congrats Auburn...amazing year as bad as I hate to admit it. Heres hoping to a tie in the BCS...lol

Educate the refs on this sort of garbage football and you won't have to change the rules imho.

Haha, reminds me of Saban begging for rule changes to outlaw the HUNH in the offseason. Pathetic.

If there is no 'rules change' then the only fair way to handle it is to TEACH YOUR offense the same tactics and try it against them next year.

If it is deemed fair, then it will continue to happen. If it works, then learn it and use it yourself.
