a coach that has experience with the Auburn type of offense or Navy offense. Preferably on the offensive side. That person is to teach Dave Steckle the weakness of this type of offense.
If we are going to be more than a one year wonder we are going to have to stop this offense or have a clue how to. We do not have a clue. Auburn is going to be around for a while and if we meet them in the SECCG then we better be prepared.

I've been happy with Stec. But from the start of the game, huge flashbacks to Texas Bowl and Navy.
That was his Achilles heel. Still hasn't come up with an answer to that offense.

Oh good God..
Bama gave up a ton to Texas Am and Auburn this year.. maybe Kirby Smart is a dumbass.
This Auburn system will take a little time to figure out. Tre Mason is also unreal, no system or coach can stop him.

This system has been around awhile. It has weakness and we need to find it. And no Kirby Smart is not a dumbass his Defense only gave up 28 points

I'll do it for free.
It's a Five-Point Plan.
Call it "Five Alive"
1: Stunt the defensive linemen so the center and guards have to decide who to block in the heat of the moment, leading to more mistakes.
2: Don't be afraid to call a time out if you are on your heels and need to make substitutions or talk about the play. It's not a wasted timeout if it can help prevent a big conversion or touchdown.
3: Even if a 350 pound nose tackle doesn't fit in your defensive scheme in most games, recruit one anyway, out of JUCO, and keep him on your Triple Option defense squad, along with your goal line defense squad. A really big guy, even if he isn't terribly athletic or fun to be around, can close the gaps on the dive plays which are the bread and butter of the triple option.
4: Combine #1 and #3 and lean toward the maneuverability of a nickel personnel package with corner blitzes on 2nd/3rd and long and trust your safeties in pass coverage.
5: Develop an offense that can dominate the line of scrimmage and chew up clock while getting first downs so your defense can rest. Even if your offense goes 3 and out, if you can give your defense a 5 minute breather in the process, they will play better.
ETA- another note on #1.... the triple option is the qb has three options... the first option is the qb reads the block from the center and guard as he puts the ball in the h-back's belly and depending on how that block is going, in real time, he'll give the hback the ball or keep it moving on to the next option. If the qb along with the guard and center have to improvise in the moment, it will lead to more mistakes ... see the marshall to hback fumble in last night's game.

That probably was our game plan, jump on them early and run the ball and short passes eating up clock. Problem is they took 2-3 minutes to score.

Seems to me a Sheldon Richardson quality type of player would have helped.

To me, and I'm no expert, you'd need to shoot the gaps everyplay. Get up field and disrupt their scheme in the backfield and cover the edges to contain.
Mizzou did neither until the 4th quarter.

Also, tackling on first contact helps. Too many missed tackles that no amount of scheming would fix.
