And this is why Alabama shouldn't be smug about Saban not finishing his career there.

He is the most marketable college football figure. It's not Alabama, it's Nick Saban.

ESPN has a lot invested in the Longhorn Network, and they don't share that with a conference. Saban will get his base salary no matter where it's at, but that's pocket change compared to his advertisement income in a Big 12 market.

He'll still get his Bama investments much like the Bear does after all these years. With the market that ESPN and Texas have, Alabama can't compete.

Not saying it's happening, mostly due to his age, but he definitely will be leaving a lot on the table staying at Alabama.

Saban is awesome. Glad to have a coach that does all he can to get his team in the title game after one loss. I wonder why Miles doesnt do the same?

Oh yeah, the whole 3 losses thing...
