he really is just a miserable a-hole. a reporter could ask a question about the game just played in a monday press conference, and he'll give them shite about not asking a question about the next game. a reporter will ask about a particular play or player in a post game press conference right after the game, and if he doesn't want to answer, he'll give them shite for not asking about a different play or player. if he doesn't want to answer a question, even if it's harmless and/or relevant, he's going to be a dick about it. it's just what he does. always has, nothing new.
