Good list. I'd add Jonathan Joseph over culliver

i know its hard to do but somehow Darian Stewart has to be there....and Ace as our Return guy

You're right, I just connected him as a Holtz DB in my head, so I didn't think of it, but he would be in over Culliver. Culliver might get in as Kickoff Return and as pointed out also in this thread, Ace would be the PR.

I had him there at SS. He was a beast and is still runnin' things in the NFL

Others to think about:
WR: Bruce?
RT: N Goddard?
And I may catch hell for this, but I would put Blake Mitchell over Garcia. When he was on, Blake was awesome. That 2006 Clemson game comeback and Liberty Bowl were outstanding. Garcia had some big wins too, though so I guess it's a wash.

Bruce has done really well, but I couldn't put him in the Top 4
Goddard was a great call, I had him as a Holtz guy in my mind like Joseph, but he was the RT his Sr year in '05 (when SOS started.)

I admire your boldness...but hell no.

I would do that too but I was going to keep it to myself

Both made bonehead plays. Garcia's were more acute than Mitchell's I think.

I just remember Goddard making that great fumble recovery in Knoxville back in 2005. That's what made me think Spurrier Era. And I put Bruce in there over Syvelle, because I always saw Syvelle as more all-purpose than a pure WR.
And I picked Blake, because he could legitimately look like Peyton Manning one day and Mark Sanchez the next. When he was on, the guy could flat out toss it around the yard.

Blake,
Yeah I don't think people realize that his stats put him around number 4-5 on a lot of our QB records list. And that was without playing a significant amount of his career with Newton taking over some in 2006 and didn't he not play his freshman year under Holtz?

Yea. Started every game except @Auburn in '05 as a redshirt sophomore, split time with Newton in 06 and Smelley in 07.

I also really liked Blake Mitchell, I think the biggest issue during his time was he had 5 wet paperbags filling in for offensive line. When he got protection the kid was on the money, when he had to run for his life(95% of the time) he would make some bonehead plays. Hence the reason Holtz had to go with Newton, otherwise Blake may not be able to walk today.
Wrong place and wrong time for Mr. Mitchell, would like to see him in a fun and gun type offense. He could throw a pretty deep ball.

I agree with that, in the early Spurrier years (first 5) we only had a fistful of OL that were decent (Meredith, Sorenson, Anderson, King and maybe Campbell.) However, they didn't play in the same years so we always had too many holes. John Hunt was the WORST OL Coach I've ever seen.

This list needs more GURMINDER THIND.

I would actually put Blake Mitchell behind Shaw...maybe I'm crazy, but when Blake was on he was on.
Solid list. I might even put Bruce behind Alshon in place of Syvelle.
That is a solid secondary.

RB-Boyd over Davis based on right now. If Davis has another great year will be solid 1 or 2. Boyd JR and SR had 2500 combined yards as RB.
WR-Ellington big over Newton.1400 yds and 14 TDs receiving for Ellington over Newton's 400 yds and 3 TDs receiving.
Ace at PR and Culliver at KR, maybe slide Vic Hampton in at CB (2 solid years locking down one corner position) over Culliver who switched between S and CB his whole career. Nice team good work by OP!

Also for FB I think you have to throw in Ryan Brewer. Kid deserves the list on heart alone!
