This probally happens because Bama has been the BCS Title hunt yearly lately. Most fans don't freak out over loses when your 8- 4 or 7-5 to much. The higher the stakes, the higher the emotion. It's pretty simple to figure out and every fanbase has their nut jobs capable of very stupid things.
Maybe Auburn will understand this feeling one day
