I did not post since early Thursday morning because I got lucky and got to stand around for Thanksgiving practice ... didn't post at all afterwards until after the game because I was afraid I couldn't post without spilling the beans about how gimpy Davis was Thursday. I mean he could hardly walk - he limped all over the place. His ankle is black and blue. I'am amazed he played as well as he did, but I wish we wouldn't have even tried using him quite honestly.

Hopefully he'll be ready for the Peach Bowl ... and yes, we are going to the Peach Bowl to face Duke.

Yea fortunately Clemson doesn't know how to stop the QB draw or last night could have gone differently. It was obvious that he wasn't 100 percent and I wish we had used Brandon Wilds more than we did

I just don't see how we're falling all the way down to that Bowl. We're fourth in the conference and there are at least four bowls with picks ahead of Atlanta (Sugar, BCS at large, Cap One, Cotton and Outback), are they all going to pass on us? Really?!? I get that their selection guys might want us, but if we're not there for them to take what does that matter?

As it was explained to me, the Chick-fil-a has acquired quite a bit of power this year. They've moved themselves into playoff bowl status for next year, have upped their payoff, and are carrying a big stick in the selection process this year.

The ACC will likely be sending Duke and the potential New Year's Eve matchup between Spurrier and Duke is an attractive marketing piece of inventory.

Then there is the Outback not wanting us back for another year.

And the Cap One seems to want the loser of the SECCG this year and will accept nothing less.

The Sugar will either get Bama or Auburn and, as it appears now UCF if they move up enough in the BCS tonight.

Jerry wants LSU or A&M.

All the cards are stacked against us. We need to make the most of The Peach and get our first win in Atlanta to knock the lid off the basket so-to-speak.

I want to play in the chickfila. Don't care what pick they've got- it's the only game on New Years eve

Actually they care more about the rankings. If Mizz loses, we'll jump them in the rankings. Aub goes to Sugar, Bama goes BCSAtLarge and we go to the Cap One.

Would much rather go to ATL than Tampa, think the players would probably feel the same.

We're 10-2. That's the 4th best record in the SEC.

The BCS will grab 2 SEC teams. Let's say that only leaves an 11-2 Mizzou team with a better record than us. No way we get passed up in the Cotton, Cap 1, and Outback.

Don't get me wrong. At this point my preference would be

Cotton
Peach
Cap 1
Outback

Cotton because its a high-level bowl, with a potential high level opponent that we never play.

The Peach number two because I am tired of Tampa and of BI6 opponents, and that is a much easier game to travel to.

Cap 1 over Outback because of how many times we've been to the Outback and if we had to play a B16 opponent I'd rather it be in the higher of the 2 bowls.

eta: If Mizzou does lose the SECCG there is no way the 3rd highest ranked SEC team falls to the 6th selection.

And I am aware that a 10-win LSU team got relegated to the Peach a few years back.

I agree. Although my preference would be to go to the Cap 1 if we can't go to a BCS. That's a good bowl, Orlando is better than Tampa or ATL, when it comes to destinations.

Yeah but think of the opponent? Sure Michigan St. has a Gamecock alum as a head coach and yeah Wisconsin has been a solid program since Alvarez took over way back when, and its a team we've never played. But I'd like to see us play someone from another conference and grab a trophy we don't already have.

We haven't beaten Wisc or Mich St before, I don't think we've ever played them. Cap 1 also pays more than Peach and Outback.

Nope neither, I'm just tired of the B1G as a whole. And I'm tired of half-empty stadiums on both sides and I think the only way SC fans will fill out their section is if it's a new city like Dallas or in close proximity like Atl.
