Exactly. If our defense didn't ever breakdown and allow big plays, we'd be undefeated every year

I hate that I'm coming to the defense of Auburn, but the OP acts as though Auburn played lights out in those games. They also made mistakes that gave Alabama advantages.

You're right, and Gene Chizik's defenses were notorious for breakdowns...

Ellis Johnson's defense has been much better in terms of discipline.
