LSU plays more "street ball" defense.

What does that mean?

In addition to the play of the DBs, LSU's success the last two years has a lot to do with the DLine playing extremely good assignment football. Never rushed up the field past him, staying in their lanes. Forced him to play backwards far more than he could run forwards.

It's why watching other teams play him is mind numbing. Biggest example was OU's DLine in the cotton bowl last year. It was like they had never watched film. They just rushed straight up the field every play.

ETA: Bama actually did a pretty good job on him this year, but they don't have a Rashard Robinson type on their roster that I'm aware of who could match the physicality of Evans.
