Nebraska won't prove to be nearly as wise a move as it first appeared, they're bound for collapse for a few reasons:
1. Recruiting. No local talent so where do they recruit now? No more Texas games to promise to those kids and the Ohio market will be hard to break into so they have to go National. Today's recruits don't remember 90's NU and Lincoln is a hard sell.
2. Coaching. Unreasonable fan expectations have gotten good coaches fired and they seem to expect a NC every year. Who really wants a job with that sort of pressure?
3. Overall weakness of the B1G will prevent them from breaking into relevance, especially with them moving to a seven team west division...think Big XII north but shittier. Pretty much just them and Wisconsin.
4. No more classic Nebraska tricks...gone are the days of the partial qualifier and two hundred kids in uniform. No more national respect for a season of cupcakes with one good OU game in there.
They'll be the next Minnesota or Illinois.

This is a really good post. I love the idea of a top ten program dying.
