Fuller Press Conference

Tony still has "work to do" to get suspension lifted.

Against Hinson tonight, Fuller says it's a battle of wits and Hinson will win that so he hopes the Mizzou players pick him up (half in jest).

Notes Clark was SEC Freshman of the week last week with his performance against SE La.

I like what I see from Clark, too.

Now, Ross needs to shoot less. A lot less.

This

When Jordan Clarkson and Jabarai Brown make shots we will be decent but if they're missing shots we will be terrible

Yep, Ross tries to do something nearly every touch. Drives me nuts.

You're right, Clark is going to be a good one. Williams too. Is Post hurt again? I think he's going to be a bust. Rosburg, for a stiff, has actually played decent. Never going to get a lot out of him, but I think he's serviceable inside and can play a role for this team.

I hope this isn't another episode of "Bad Touch Theatre", ala Dixon and others. Each episode starts with a suspicious team rules violation, the plot thickens with an accusation from a female tutor, and ends with a dismissal.

Yes, me too. But I think it may be an issue which at least showed up in the exhibition game when he almost got in a fight. But pure speculation.

Criswell might be a missing piece of this team as he had a couple of decent scoring games and always did a good job rebounding and could make Rosburg more effective

Gonna be a long year. No post scoring. Ross and Brown jack up terrible shots consistently. Post is completely worthless. Jancovic doesn't look like he will ever get it. This team will likely have to play Rosburg a lot of minutes. Let that sink in.

There are some bright spots. Williams III looks to be talented. As does Clark. Clarkson is a star, but that's not enough.

NIT bound

Does anyone know what Criswell did to get in the doghouse?

It really is a bad way of handling in that regard. Even the line "he still has more work to do" is extremely similar if not verbatim to a line used by Haith in describing Dixon's indefinite suspension last year. From that one can glean it might be grade-based. Whatever the case, handling Criswell the exact same way Dixon was handled last year - indefinite suspension for undisclosed reasons other than violating team rules and little hints that he has work to do to get back - seems unwise. Mizzou has got to realize that EVERYONE in its fanbase and on campus remembers last year.

It would be very smart of the Mizzou Athletic Department to have one of the coaches go ahead and say "however, I want to emphasize that Tony Criswell's violation of team rules is an internal matter solely involving Tony and his responsbilities to himself and the team, and it does not in any way involve his conduct toward or interactions with other students at this university" or something to that effect. Because for each day they don't say that, all it does is make you wonder even more and even worse scenarios start popping into your head.

Nah. Men can giggle. It's all good. Especially to Afroman.
