I'm not spoiled. I'm just tired of seeing us make dumb mistakes (penalties, clock management, gameday management). Those things have been around since Miles got here, and they are a constant.

Honestly, after the loss to Bama this weekend, I'm more apathetic than anything. Yeah, it would have been great to win, but then it would have just pointed out once again that we habitually play to the level of our opponents, and that means playing below their level all too often (i.e. Ole Miss).

I'm in my late 30s and was speaking with someone last night that I have been going to games with since I was three. She feels the same way. Between the repeated mistakes and the money grab by LSU that has been going on since after Nick Saban got here, LSU is not the same. It's just not.

Winning 10 games annually when you have at least 12 to work with and your schedule includes the likes of Furman, North Texas, ULM, and Directional State is not a major accomplishment. Then, when we do have a quality OOC opponent, they are played on a neutral field, away from home.

Diehard fans have been priced out of the stadium, corporate types don't show up unless we are playing Alabama or another top school, and LSU's grand idea to pump crap music into the stadium at a level that destroys your eardrum make you look around and wonder why you are paying for any of it.

We won a national championship in 2003, before all of the money was "needed" to keep up with the Joneses. Now we are being told we need more money just to be competitive. That's absurd. And when $4 million is going to a coach who doesn't learn from his repeated mistakes, it's an issue. Don't get me wrong, he can't carry the ball into the endzone for JC Copeland, and I'm not putting anything like that on him, though others would say not finishing is a reflection on the leader.

Spoiled? No. Frustrated? Slightly. Don't care? Just about.

We've seen this before. This is Cholly Mac II from the losing to Bama issue, but Cholly Mac didn't lose because he was incompetent on so many occasions.

Additionally, we don't have the playmakers this year that we had last year. I can appreciate that. But I can't appreciate our defense being out of position and not knowing assignments when it is Week 11, and a tight end on the other team outrunning our entire secondary for a 50-plus TD. That can't happen.

Other than out-talenting almost everyone in 2011, we haven't had a special season with Miles here. We backed into a national championship in 2007 after losing to a decent Kentucky team and the Wildhog against Arkansas. Miles winning percentage is great, but it has been bolstered with a watered down non-conference schedule and frustrating wins that defy the level of competition.
