Yea and NU was ranked when they played as well. They beat a few ranked teams in '12 though I don't think any of them ended the season ranked.

They've beat 10 top 25 teams in the last 4 years so I'm not really sure what you're talking about.

Whoever told you that was wrong. MSU, Nebraska and Michigan were all ranked when they played OSU last year, and Nebraska and Michigan both finished ranked (Michigan in the AP, Nebraska in all three major polls.)
