The Texas state legislature will eventually get involved to get the game going again. The Alabama state legislature had to threaten to pull funding from both schools in order to get the Iron Bowl renewed.

I side with the Ags here because Texas was being a bitch about it a couple of years ago and as an Aubie, I am familiar with a rival being a bitch.

Most of us know the AU-Bama story, but for those that don't...

Bama refused to set foot in Jordan Hare for over a decade because they were scared. They knew they had a permanent home field advantage at Legion Field and did not want to play AU without it.

By the 1970's every SEC team was coming to JH which had expanded to 72,000. Bigger than BD and essentially the same as Legion Field. AU kept trying to play bama home and home (home field for bama was already legion field). Even when JH expanded to 85k making it much larger than LF or BD (which was at 60k), bama refused.

It took Pat Dye telling bama either play AU at JH and give up the permanent home field advantage or AU was going to take bama to court and bama was coming one way or the other. Bama had no choice but was scared shitless, the bama coach even called the FBI and asked them for an escort because he feared for his team's safety.

So, I understand a rival being a scared bitch and have to side with the Ags here.
