Yeah all of those are what ifs we are throwing out right now.

However, the factual and actual are Auburn played a MUCH tougher schedule than anyone else, accomplished much more on the field, and ended up with one loss, same as Nebraska, Miami, and Texas.

It is sorta like saying a 1 loss mountain west team that has 1 quality win is the national champ over a 1 loss SEC team with 5 quality wins.

It is ludicrous and AU was the true national champ in 1983.

Better luck next time gumps. Just remember to lower your expectations of winning any sort of debate against one of your intellectual superiors (basically almost everyone and certainly all Aubies I suppose).
