Kirby

Some people don't realize this (even some Bama fans) but Saban has been letting Kirby have a lot more say and decision making with staff and direction to go in recruiting (mainly regarding the D to stop spread O's), hiring Lance Thompson back etc

The job is Kirby's if Saban decides to retire sometime in the near future

Matches what I have heard, plus the day Kirby is hired, a DC working in Florida will return immediately to run the D.

Horrible decision. We are talking about a guy who could not even get the Southern Miss job. Familiarity with the Alabama program would be the only reason any of us would mention him as a candidate. He is nowhere near ready to be the head coach of the enormous challenge which will be Alabama post-Saban. Alabama will need a seasoned veteran who is used to taking tons of criticism from fans and media. Saban does not even allow him to do media interviews. He would be devoured after the first 2 loss season.
