Auburn fans first arguing that it has harder admission requirements than Alabama. It doesn't.
Auburn fans then arguing that they have a lower acceptance rate. They don't.
Auburn fans arguing that every possible ranking has Auburn ahead of Alabama. USNWR (the ranking that literally every major school goes by) has Auburn behind Alabama.
Auburn fans argue that Alabama caters to these rankings. The catering would be putting more money into research, infrastructure, degree integrity and strength, faculty to student ratios, admission standards, number of Merit Scholars and amazing students. You know, basically all the things that help make a college stronger and their degree better.
All I know is my high school days allowed me to get a full ride to Alabama from out of state. My degree from Alabama allowed me to get into three medical schools (M.D. not D.O.) when it was all said and done. The tools at Alabama (i.e. the ease of which I could get involved with research, the actual medical knowledge I gained from my advisers getting me into various clinical volunteer positions around the community) helped me get to where I am today.
Alabama isn't second rate in the slightest. Saban literally was the best investment the college has ever made.
