I'm not embarrassed. Frick everyone inside the Beltway. If they don't care about us (and they don't), then I don't owe them a single thing. And I certainly don't owe them some sort of pretend civility when they demonstrate none towards hoi polloi.

In all seriousness, there were no loud Boos, just a collective groan when "President of the United States" was mentioned during the oath. I can guarantee you none of the inductees would have felt slighted; they were given a standing ovation by the crowd. I did appreciate the fact that the Tennesee fans joined in applauding them, as well as during another ceremony during the game honoring Mizzou grads who served in the military, some being honored posthumously. Quite frankly, I think most Missourians are getting tired of these local state officials trying to drum up controversy when any negative comments are directed toward the President.
