Weird because it's typically the religious right who is the most skeptical of the government, yet they also want the government to officially get into the religion business?
Well, only if if said government subscribes to their particular brand of religion.

Sorry, I'm on the rant in a meeting and I got caught
What I'm basically saying is that TRUE Christianity has a place in all facets of life, especially football.
Reason being that TRUE Christianity is based on service. Serving others. I agree that too many churches have completely gone away from this, and they ask for money way too much.
Too many aspects of our society have gone towards the promoting the "individual" and "selfishness." Serving others is something we should all do regardless of religion. A coach is serving others by helping young men grow up prepared to handle what the world throws at them. Football is a great metaphor for life itself and religion can do nothing but help in my opinion. It's just a game. What really matters is how we serve others on Earth and where we spend eternity.
