Conference titles in the SEC are almost as hard to get as MNCs. Consider that the last team to win the SECCG and NOT go to the BCSNCG was Georgia.

But it isn't just UT.
AL had to go through the Dubose/Franchione/Price/Shula period (8 years) to even get to Saban.
I also point to USC (Kiffin?), Notre Dame (Davie, Willingham, Weiss) USCjr (Holtz)
All storied programs with tons of money and recent coaching changes that didn't work for them. Assuming the next guy, or even the one after that will give us a better result is wishful thinking.
