Missouri rakes in ratings for ESPN2

So, CBS may not think much about Missouri’s drawing power, but ESPN2 surely does after seeing the ratings the Tigers’ game against South Carolina garnered.
Missouri’s 27-24 double-overtime loss was ESPN2’s most-watched game of the 2013 season, averaging 3,051,000 viewers and 1.8 household rating.
It was the most-watched regular-season game on the network since Sept. 9, 2012, when the Tigers’ Southeastern Conference debut — a 41-20 loss to Georgia — drew an average audience of 4,119,000 and a 2.4 household rating.
The Missouri game against South Carolina more than doubled the average ESPN2 college football game audience (1,217,000).
Kansas City averaged an 11.0 rating for the Tigers’ game against the Gamecocks, which was the second most in any market behind on Greenville, S.C. (13.3).
With the Cardinals in the World Series, St. Louis (5.3) was seventh behind Birmingham (10.8), Knoxville (8.7), Jacksonville (6.5) and Charlotte (6.4).

To all the fans asking why Mizzo and not Clemson, FSU or Ga. Tech..... THIS is not only a big TV market share, it is not redundant to what we already have. aTm and Mizzo were strokes of genius and probably the best bang for the buck regarding future TV contracts.

To me the HUGE rating was the one in Kansas City. That plants the SEC flag right in the heart of XII country.
Before Slive is done , he'll wring cash from everything east of the Rockies and south of Iowa.
