Keys for Success:
Tennessee-
One of the biggest keys for Tennessee coming into this matchup with Missouri will be in protecting their FS QB Joshua Dobbs (6-3 // 193) who will be replacing JR Justin Worley due to injury and making his first career start. Tennessee will need to slow down the speedy and opportunistic Missouri defense who have registered an SEC leading 25 sacks on the year. Tennessee has been successful this year in protecting their QB's only giving up 8 sacks total for the year. Tennessee boasts a stout offensive line that along with protecting their QB has allowed the Vols to maintain a good rushing attack so far this season. Look for Tennessee to try and control the game on the ground and to limit the passing game to slants/screens and other quick reads that will also limit the exposure of Dobbs to the Missouri rush.
If Tennessee can impose its will in the trenches and control the line of scrimmage and clock and limit the Missouri offense they will be in position to pluck an upset victory over Missouri in Columbia by the 4th quarter.
Missouri-
Missouri needs to see steady improvement in the play of FS QB Maty Mauk. While stepping in after James Franklin's injury and proving himself his inexperience affected the game and his performance last week. The Gamecocks masked their coverage's well last week which seemed to confuse the young QB at times. Another issue was the inability to check out of plays once to the line of scrimmage. The plays need to be called in earlier and move to the line to allow the coaching staff to help Mauk check out of plays in obvious situations. We should see steady improvement in these areas as Mauk gains experience and playing time.
Missouri really needs to stick with its offensive recipe its had so far this year to be successful. A steady and solid ground game lead by the RB by committee that hits the gaps provided by, the very surprising, Missouri OL play. The run should allow Mauk to continue make plays through the air and keep the Tennesse defense honest.
On defense Missouri will have to overcome a pretty darn good offensive line if it wants to pressure the Tennessee FS QB Dobbs. With the return of EJ Gaines look for times when Coach Steck will go man coverage and try to bring blitz packages if the front four cant find a way to get pressure on their QB.
Closing thoughts:
I think this is as big a test for this team as last week against South Carolina. How will the team respond after that loss? This Tennessee team has some great athletes and their OL can allow them to run the ball well. Missouri just needs to come out and play with edge and tempo on both sides of the ball, win the turn over battle and look for improved play from Mauk as he grows and gains experience and more first team snaps during the week.
Prognostication:
Not going to give a pick. I think the game will be close though.

Great read kilo. 
It will be an interesting when strength goes against strength. Our run D that has been stout against their offensive strength, the run game. I like our chances there.

That is awesome, Kilo, thanks!! Do you think it'll be a challenge for our defense at all to try and game plan for a QB they have no film on at all?

Excellent breakdown.
TN's O-Line is good but not great. They are much better in pass pro than run blocking. With your D-Line I think that is a battle you will win if they come in with the right attitude.
If you guys don't lose the turnover battle I think you walk away with this one. However TN is froggy, if you give them the idea that they can play with you guys they will.
They have some talent and I think are pretty well coached now but they are not on the same level with you guys. Will be interesting to see how your coaching staff approaches the game because if you are aggressive you can put them away early but at the same time with them probably starting a true frosh at QB the staff may choose to be conservative and wait for them to make mistakes. That is probably the smart decision but after a tough loss I would rather go balls to the wall to set the tone with your own team.
Eta: I will go with - Mizzou 33, Tenn 17.

Awesome preview. I'm pretty excited for this game, Tennessee has looked pretty good, but the Alabama game makes me a little less concerned than I was last week.
Mizzou's saying things to make me believe they're coming together after the tough loss. Hopefully they'll come out focused.

Flashback to last year and Richardson storming into the locker room yelling at anyone within ear shot. Fast forward to this years team and everybody taking ownership of the loss. I think they'll be ultra-focused. Just a strange feeling. Part of me doesn't also wonder if Franklin starts. I know it's a stretch and probably won't happen but all of the players that threw with him said he's 100% on his throws. I'm probably reading between the lines too much but the quotes from the coaching staff don't say he won't start (other than the depth chart). If he's ready, he will play. They never say he's not ready yet. I'm rambling and I'll stop.

Great preview! And I agree, I think this is going to be a close game. Hoping we can rattle the young QB early, and learn to defend the screen pass.

I think it would have been more likely with an experienced QB. An inexperienced freshman, playing against our DL, could be in for a long night.
Should be a good game, though.

Our experienced QB was very limited from a physical standpoint, Our freshman QB (astroDobbs) will allow our coaches to use more of the playbook due to his physical skills (better runner, better passer) and there is the x factor of his high IQ and eerie poise.
