How much playing time do you think Mark and Kailo will get today? I'm hoping a good bit.

Also, didn't want to post this in another thread but does anyone know how good our backup K and P are (Papanastos and Gleason)?

Hopefully, a lot in the second half. Idaho is the worst team we will play this season so I expect our starters to be done early.

Papanastos is actually pretty good, and Gleason isn't on campus yet (at least I don't think so)

I don't expect them to get that much. Probably the same or a little more than SEMO

I'd expect more, SEMO would probably be favored over Idaho. I don't think scott will play more than a series or 2, Whalton and Mathers will probably play the first half, maybe some of the 3rd quarter. Dodson should be the go to back in the second half, with Moore getting some touches too.

Kailo just looked uncomfortable out there. Like he is still really not sure about his "Football Skin". I really hate that we burned his shirt. But maybe the coaches know something about his future plans that we don't. Maybe we only get him for a year or two and it was just an experiment that isn't going to work?

I don't think Kailo looks uncomfortable. I think he is just still learning how to play at this level. 2A football in MS last year to SEC football is a huge jump. I'm telling you the coaches know that once that light really comes on and he learns how to use his size with that speed he is exactly what this offense needs.

I don't think Kailo really knows how to read the running lanes yet. He had trouble deciding where to cut. To me, he has a lot of straight line speed, but he needs to work on his quickness. He did, however, look pretty good catching the ball out of the backfield on a few swing routes. I still just don't know if I see him as a RB. I'm thinking more of a slot WR or CB.

Dodson looked really smooth to me. Running just looks natural to him. Read the holes well, cut at the right moments, had some burst. He just looked like an SEC RB to me. I hope he is given a chance to start or get some good carries next year w/ Walton and Mathers. We are going to have quite the stable next year.

Would love to see Kailo at CB next year. Just hate that we more or less wasted a year with him so far. I would rather have seen him redshirt. I just don't see any way he contributes meaningfully this year.

I'm not sure why you guys keep saying he was wasted. He has played every KR, and has been sprinkled in on some plays in the offense.

The waste was Dodson. Of course he didn't want to RS. As I stated earlier, we will see what kind of player he is. Is he one that wants to work to earn the spot or will he leave and try to be given a spot at a FCS school...
