I wonder if that hurts them in the long run? A lot of recruiting is due to relationships with highschool coaches. Saban is great but he's going to be gone in a few years. Will other younger coaches create local pipeline that inhibit bamas recruiting?

Alabama will always be able to recruit real well within the state if they so choose unless a coach just totally and/or intentionally ticks off the high school coaches. But Saban isn't burning bridges with the local coaches or anything. Everyone realizes that he is recruiting at such a high level that he will be going out of state for the majority of the kids.

Oh, and it might be 35 kids from in the state. I counted them pretty fast and may have missed one or two, but the percentage is still close to the same.

Maybe a small impact, but Alabama should always be okay recruiting Alabama kids.
