How are we as a population finite and how is the debt "infinite"?

As a population, we are bounded by land and resources. Birth rates are on a major decline, and if not for immigration, our population would actually be declining the last few years.

And our debt is infinite because it has no limit (we keep raising it)

Of course I understand that. We have immigrants though. We are still the biggest economy in the world. There's plenty of potential for growth out there. Of course there is a limit to the population we can support, but I don't believe we're there yet. (Yes though, finite is by definition true)

It has a limit. Sure it's about the time we can't pay it off and default, but there is a limit to how high it can go. (I love semantics)
