That's really been the case every single year Saban has been at Bama.

But it was a bigger deal last year, at least to the media. This year we're getting guys contributing big time in the trenches, and they don't talk about it. Goes to show some people really just don't respect the big guys as much as they should.

Part of "The Process" requires contribution from first year players. Saban plans on some of those high star players only being on campus 3 years. Get them ready to be front line guys by year two. In doing so, he is showing futue high star players that they can play early if they put in the work. Helps keep other coaches from getting away with saying "you can play early here but will be on the bench at Bama". They can say it but Saban can point to his history.
