Ole Miss and State have different ceilings. DWI

All things constant, there are a lot of things that aren't just going to "go away" with one good season. These are things that require longterm success therefor sort of a "ceiling" if you will.

Recruiting

Simple fact that MS does not put out the talent that a GA, FL or even AL does. There is talent but ya'll need to essentially do a clean sweep plus some. This past year's class was a perfect storm of circumstances and you likely won't see those initial conditions again. Until ya'll are winning consistently, ya'll won't be putting up top 5-10 classes

Talent

This should be a subsection of recruiting or vice versa. Right now, the talent level of Ole Miss is not that of Auburn and shouldn't be expecetd since AU has recruited at such a high level for years.

Recruiting will fix this but it will be a few years before a team of players recruited for Freeze's system and experienced with talent will be on a field

Facilities

Again, winning brings $ which brings new facilities. In the mean time, ya'll aren't like UTk and can't brag about having state of the art facilities. While you don't have poor facilities, it is not something you can sell recruits on. In terms of performance, improved facilities improve performance from weight rooms to rehabilitation to simulating conditions.

Fan Support

Ole Miss is notorious for brushing off losing but for ya'll to improve above your status, ya'lls fans need to be like :gulp: Bama fans. The fanaticism and overall obsession with the football aspect as opposed to the chandelier tailgates is huge.

That is the difference between a Gus and even a Butch Jones.

Recruiting, fan support and facilities are all in place right now at this moment. All they need to do is scheme and do Xs and Os and maintain what they already have.

Hugh Freeze has to build all those things I just metioned as well as outcoach people. Lot harder task for Freezus than other guys in similar stages of their careers.

I view Ole Miss in a similar light as Oregon back in the 1990s. Good years in history but not a traditional power. Lots of potential but a lot of things need to go right. Similar difficulties in terms of recruiting ground (better at Ole Miss), fan support (winning fixes like Oregon did) and financial support (Ole Miss money needs to combine to match Phil Knight Money)

SEC cancels with Nike Bumps in that situation
