The Mizzou contingent is wanting this to be their "we've arrived" win. I get it; you want into the club. A&M got in by beating Bama last year, why can't we?

That's not how this works and it sucks for y'all and I'm sorry.

Mizzou took a step in the right direction yesterday but only because they managed to do what they were supposed to do: deliver a knockout blow to a very beat-up UGA team. Knocking out a half-dazed Holyfield doesn't suddenly make you Mayweather.

However, what this means is that Mizzou has opened the door to acceptance. Beat Florida next week without Franklin and you'll get respect. Beat South Carolina the week after that and you're in.

If Mizzou is really the better team, then play without your best pieces and win big.

So in your post, indirectly you acknowledged the hypocrisy here. Thanks, that's what I was looking for.

Our next three games are at home, which includes Florida and USC. No way we lose both.

No cares, we'll make our own club. We're actually in negotiations right now with Alabama to team up as we're the ones carrying this fricking conference.

shite arse teams losing OCO games to Clemson an Miami?

This r the SEC we've been hearing about. Cool

THIS.

Not surprised at seeing a thread like this from OP -- who appears to have been lurking for a year waiting for a chance to post this thread. I am surprised other Mizzou posters are joining in.

USC beat Tennessee in 1992 -- our first season in the SEC and our second win conference win (after Vanderbilt the week before). It took us another 18 years to get to the SECCG and we still haven't won it. Acceptance in the SEC takes time -- maybe we got there when we beat Ohio State in the Outback Bowls (beating the Buckeyes in a bowl game is an SEC rite of passage); maybe it was 2010; maybe we're still not there.

It starts with sustained success -- and then handling the success (and failures) like a big boy. We were all impressed with Mizzou's win (it was certainly good for Carolina). As Durden said, beat UF and USC without Franklin (and handle your success), and you will have arrived -- much earlier than anyone expected.

; and we all feel bad about Franklin
