Not at all. I was making a valid comparison. A kid can not go to Kentucky (comparable to Alabama in football for argument's sake) and be a successful college basketball player who makes it to the NBA. Sure top players go to Kentucky to enhance their abilities and win big. But that doesn't make them any less of a player because they chose someone else they thought was a better fit due to other factors (that I listed). And I can readily acknowledge Kentucky isn't for everyone.

Same argument works for someone not choosing Alabama Football. Especially when he has a SEC school instate who recently hired a defensive minded coach who can develop players for the NFL.

I wouldn't knock him for going to Alabama at all. But it's silly that some y'all can't grasp the idea that not everyone has to go to Alabama to become a successful player.

And FWIW, after his visit to Notre Dame they're all crowing that he's theirs. Go figure.
