Not sure what the extent of it is, but several players tweeted about it earlier. Would be a blow to our young LB corps if true. Not sure we will find out anything more until the presser but wanted to post this in case anyone had some inside knowledge.

damn, the injury bug is killing the Falcons too.
Regardless, this can only be bad. Considering the tweets that were sent out by players, I don't think we will be seeing Mr. Lewis anytime soon unfortunately which is bad news bears for the rest of the defense.
Whole defense needs a wakeup call, especially the secondary. Getting burned like they have been is not ok. I have had to hold my my silence this month-long ban, but finally I can say the most disappointing part of the defense so far has been the secondary. Linebackers can only do so much when you are young and undersized. Those LBs need to do some serious work in the weightroom this offseason.
That being said, I don't understand how some of these players (don't want to bash, but lookin at you Vic) can be so fundamentally unsound. Years spent under the tutelage of GREAT players for Carolina, showing nothing for it. I understand a lot of it comes down to coaching, but getting burned like they have been, unacceptable.

Said Lewis had an infection in his leg, and had to be taken to the hospital last night and put on an IV to have antibiotics pumped into him. His status is currently wait and see, but he could play this weekend provided the infection is minimized to a safe level in time. Don't think he can practice right now until then....
