I know we don't look ahead but were fans and we can. I'm asking based on this nearly mid season comparison and what we know how any of you that care to answer would approach this game. I'm bored at work and just thought that there were some obvious chinks in both teams armors. And I know this will be difficult but could we attempt to keep this civil for once.
10 points and 9 yards
Thats the difference between Clemson and Carolina's defense this year in points allowed and total yards allowed.

CAR YDS AVG LONG TD

I don't usually look that far ahead because of the vast uncertainty that much time entails. Through five games last year Shaw had 571 yards passing and a 5 to 2 TD to interception season going and Lattimore was tearing it up with 440 yards and 8 rushing TDs. Neither played against Clemson.
Clemson's D was horrid through the first 5 games last year and they strengthened up near the end of the season. They were also boasting of a win over an Auburn team that was only in the first throws of an epic collapse.
As it stands now, just going off what we've seen so far on the field (not necessarily stats-wise) we would get killed. But that's why you wait for the season to play out before jumping to conclusions.

Once they play FSU and Ga Tech, we'll see how their stats change. They luckily don't have to play Miami this year.

Hard to look that far in advance, but right now, Clemson would be about a 7.5 favorite over us. Never know what will happen with injuries, etc between now and then. This season has a lot of parallels with 2011 to me. The common opponent that year was auburn.

Would think Clemson would beat us by 7-10 at least if we played today.

Might they not face Miami in the ACCCG?
