It reminds me of LSU before Cam (and before we lost a ton of juniors to the pros on D). It was usually hard to beat us because we didn't give up many points even though our offense was conservative and not that good. You can still get it done with defense and some talented skill guys on offense/special teams. Florida didn't seem to have those killer speed guys like usual when I watched them against Miami though. Or maybe my eyes deceived me...

Patton had 100 yards vs Miami and Arky. He's got some very good speed. Other than him though we really don't. We are the very definition of "power". Powerful backs, big Oline, and bigger receivers outside of Patton. We do have more explosion than last year though, we've hit I believe six plays > 35 yards with is already more than all of last year.

Yeah, I saw him run and he looks pretty good (especially when he builds up some steam). I wonder if it's a philosophy change because I can't remember the last time Florida didn't have one or two frightening speed guys like Harvin, Demps, Rainey, etc., that did all kinds of stuff. Or maybe it's just a year where the speed guys aren't ready yet...

I like our RBs, but I worry about Florida shutting them down because they don't come out of the backfield fast enough. I see us having issues there, but maybe Hill will bring a little something extra for the big boys.
