It's been this way for years with a couple teams.

Ive never considered Louisiana a southern state. The normal southern customs, traditions, languages or accent, religions and food aren't really found here (cue the incest and racism comments here). Geographically it doesn't fit much either. It doesn't feel "southern".

Florida-Florida is not a southern state but like LA with the culture differences it just doesn't fit. It's a state in the south but not "southern".

AL, TN, North and South Car, GA and MS are true southern. Honestly, Mizzou is as southern as LA, Fl or KY in my experiences.

1. You've clearly never been to north Louisiana. Get north of Baton Rouge and Avoyelles Parish and it's as stereotypical Southern as is gets.

2. We have some of the largest and most beautiful old plantations in the South.

3. We're a blend between French Catholic Creole culture (by way of France and Haiti), French Catholic Cajuns (by way of Canada), immigrant Catholics (by way of Germany, Ireland, the Canary Islands, and Lebanon), and stereotypical Protestant Southern culture.

To Mizzou fans: We've never even accepted Arkansas fans into the SEC (seriously, those pig f&%kers can go each eat a bag of dicks), what makes you think you will be accepted any time soon?
