Texas is not even close to the best job in the country IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN CHAMPIONSHIPS. The big money, big cigar types care more about their access to the program which they perceive as social cache than ceding control to a Saban type that will demand accountability within the program. Why do you think Mack Brown has lasted so long?
If you are a coach like Saban Texas is everything antithetical to your way of life - style and prestige is more highly valued than process and results. Again, why do you think MAck Brown has lasted so long? He schmoozes the power players and allows them unfettered access. Do you honestly see Nick schmoozing anyone?
I know y'all are desperate to get out from under Saban's shadow but quit spouting this "Texas is the greatest job ever! ZOMG!" horsecrap.
