1. I wish I had more time but wanted to say something on this board before it was totally irrelevant.
2. I had a good time in T-Town, but wished I had stayed longer--got in Friday night and left Sunday. I was stuck with a bunch of dead weight work people who I couldn't ditch, otherwise it would have been much better. Everyone I spoke with associated with CSU had a great team and were all treated well.
There is a big debate in Fort Collins about whether to build an on campus stadium (current stadium is about 4 miles away) and proponents want to emulate what's done in the SEC. Seeing it in person was very impressive to those unfamiliar with the SEC and I'm sure will be used to further the debate.
3. Regarding the game, I was glad to see CSU hold their own for the most part, and even thought I heard a few boos along the way. Obviously y'all are in a different league and this game was sandwiched between two big conference games, but I'm glad it was respectable.
4. I have a complicated background with a BS from CSU and an MS from LSU. I'm an LSU fan but not a born and bred Louisianan. It's a hell of a difference in the SEC how teams are treated in and out of conference and that's why the SEC rules--well one of the reasons. Never experienced it first hand before.
Thanks again for the hospitality. I assure you it was well received and a great deal of positive stories are being told this week by those who attended. I wish I could have cracked a few cold ones with those on this board but it was not an entirely social trip. Such is life.

CSU's stadium is 4 miles away from campus? That's odd.
/coming from a guy whose team plays 2 home games a year 3 hours from campus.

Yeah, I think it's just under 4 miles from the center of campus. Built in the late 60s. Back then there must have been absolutely nothing there.
They think on campus stadium will change everything. I'm all for football and stadiums, but I don't think it's worth the investment. It's not like it's inaccessible. What they have now is land and they don't do shite with it expect check for MIPs. I digress...

McElwain will get that going in the right direction. Hard to duplicate what Sonny Lubick did but CS can be a bowl team. Game went about as I expected. Dead stadium and all. I don't think anybody ever stood or made noise. Typical BDS crowd. Easiest 100K plus stadium to play in this side of Ann Arbor. No life, golf clap. Most noise made is that annoying as hell Roll Tide after a first down. I wish that would die.

Does everybody who gets beat by Bama automatically come back to the internet to hold hands and give praise to gump nation?

i was a little shocked how good your open field tackling was. i dont think i saw a single missed tackle on CSU the whole game. Also, your NT Tonga (6'3" 330) was a beast in that game. He kept blowing Kelly (6'5" 290) off the line over and over. That seems to be Kelly's biggest vulnerability, just not powerful enough to hold against a guy like that solo.

I never said good luck the rest of the season.
It was a foreign experience for my people. It was enjoyed. I'll give credit. CSU is never on TV after that Mtn. abortion deal. It was a big deal. I'd write the same thing to any school.
Another thing, in July I made agreement to fight someone, I forget who, the night before and never showed at the Houndstooth. My bad. I'm here eat crow on that one.
